11.03.2010 -

Kevin ‘ImaLuckSac’ MacPhee won the European Poker Tour held in Berlin and took home 1 million euro. A prize pool of 4,725,000 euro was up for grabs after 945 player from 48 countries registered for the Main Event. At the final table the 29-year-old American beat Ilari Tahkokallio from Finland and won the first EPT in the capital of Germany.

This is not the first time MacPhee sat on an EPT table, however, he never made it to win big until now. He’s won participation in 14 out of the 15 events he’s competed for during Season 5.

European Poker Tour Berlin took place at Casino Spielbank Berlin and on the fourth day of the event it was interrupted when four armed men stormed the venue and took more than 1 million euro prize money. Fortunately, no one was injured and despite the security guards intervention the suspects made it out of the building. A few hours later the tournament continued.
