"Annette_15" from Freerolls to Hosting FTOPS XVI Main Event
03.05.2010 -Annette “Annette_15” Oberstad will host the Main Event of FTOPS XVI this Sunday - a $640 buy-in hold’em event with $3 million in guaranteed prize money, starts at 6 p.m. ET (12 p.m. CET). She is the newest Full Tilt Poker pro and her name ‘is finally in red on FTP’, as she herself shared with her Twitter followers recently.
The 21-year-old poker sensation started playing freerolls and became famous when once during an online tournament she looked at her cards only once and kept a post-it note over them for the entire event which she won.
Oberstad’s first big win was the World Series of Poker Europe in 2007, when she cashed over $2 million. Until now she has more than $3 million in live earnings and $2.2 million in online winnings, making her one of the top dual-thread (live and online) tournament players in the industry.
This year it will be her first participation in the WSOP in Las Vegas. Oberstad has also made one big live final table in 2010, at the Aussie Millions Main Event. And she finished ninth out of 64 players in the 2010 Heads-Up Poker Championship.
